Ashley Campbell: Associate Artistic Director

Favorite Play?
Duncan Macmillan's Every Brilliant Thing.

If you could have a 15-minute convo with any deceased person, who would it be and why?
Jesus or William Shakespeare. They'd probably have a lot of wise words to say.

If you were an inanimate object, what would you be? Why?
I'd be a potato since they say you are what you eat.

What's your personal motto?
"Life, uh, finds a way."

Describe your ultimate theatrical experience (past, present, and/or future).
The show that sticks with me more than any other is Punchdrunk's Sleep No More. All my favorite theatrical experiences give the audience agency in what happens on stage and that's something I'd like to see and create more of in Denver.

What is your weirdest talent?
I can speak clearly without ever closing my mouth.

Trevor Fulton: Executive Director & Publicity Manager

Favorite Play?
A Game of You (concept by Alexander Devriendt)

If you could have a 15-minute convo with any deceased person, who would it be and why?
Nikola Tesla. So I could tell him his worth and that he does get most of the credit he deserves.

If you were an inanimate object, what would you be? Why?
A top hat. Not necessary for every outfit, but when worn can add a look of class or a touch of madness.

What's your personal motto?
“We’re all mad here.”

Describe your ultimate theatrical experience (past, present, and/or future).
I love theatre because the audience is right there with you. I find the most pleasure in a theatrical setting when a performance takes advantage of that close relationship. If the audience is there, why not let them truly be a part of the show? The ultimate experience is when every audience member leaves feeling that they individually played a crucial part to how the performance went and weren’t living comfortably on the sidelines.

What is your weirdest talent?
I possess the incredibly useful talent of teeth whistling.

Cullen Madrid: Director of Operations

Favorite Play?
Macbeth

If you could have a 15-minute convo with any deceased person, who would it be and why?
Lucille Ball. She is a woman who did a lot of firsts and I would love to absorb her wisdom.

If you were an inanimate object, what would you be? Why?
A pair of glasses--they see everything and are always seen.

What's your personal motto?
Follow the rules until they get in your way.

Describe your ultimate theatrical experience (past, present, and/or future).
I was in a production of Shipwrecked! my sophomore year of college, and it was an exciting--albeit exhausting--experience to play numerous and diverse characters in such a vivid story. Us actors were characters, props, set dressing, and sound makers, and the design language of the show was "anything we can find for free." That experience taught me that one doesn't need much to make good theatre, and of just how powerful actors are.

What is your weirdest talent?
I can loudly crack every joint in my body.

Alexis Robbins: Director of Marketing & Outreach

Favorite Play?
The Pillowman by Martin McDonagh

If you could have a 15-minute convo with any deceased person, who would it be and why?
David Bowie. He is the ultimate love of my life and I would really like to give him a hug.

If you were an inanimate object, what would you be? Why?
A chipped tea cup. I love tea, I collect tea cups/pots, and I love imperfect/aged things that have character, sort of like my gap teeth.

What's your personal motto?
“I don’t know where I’m going from here, but I promise it won’t be boring.”

Describe your ultimate theatrical experience (past, present, and/or future).
I love any sort of theatre that alters my outlook, changes my life (for better or for worse), and allows me come face-to-face with the truth about society, human nature, and myself.

What is your weirdest talent?
I can lick my elbow. I promise.

Tony Ryan: Artistic Director

Favorite Play?
Waiting for Godot by Beckett

If you could have a 15-minute convo with any deceased person, who would it be and why?
Orson Welles. That man is not only a visionary artist but I’d love to hear him have a regular conversation in those dulcet tones of his.

If you were an inanimate object, what would you be? Why?
A book. I’d always have an attentive audience for my ramblings

What's your personal motto?
“If you want something, make it happen.”

Describe your ultimate theatrical experience (past, present, and/or future).
Attending a production where you’re forced to live within the world of the show. Like Punchdrunk but with a longer runtime.

What is your weirdest talent?
If you say a line from Scrubs I can tell you the episode in which it was said and who said it.

Katie Walker: Literary Manager

Favorite Play?
The Seagull by Anton Chekhov

If you could have a 15-minute convo with any deceased person, who would it be and why?
I would love to have a conversation with Walt Disney because he told so many stories that have had an influence on so many people at a young age. Also, I would love to hear him talk about the beginning of his career.

If you were an inanimate object, what would you be? Why?
I would be a semi-popular library book because I would be an expert on certain things and I would also get to travel around with different people to different places.

What's your personal motto?
Something like “Always look for something that makes you want to get up in the morning, keep a journal, and try to learn as much as you can.”

Describe your ultimate theatrical experience (past, present, and/or future).
My ultimate theatrical experience would be one that is really unique style-wise but has enough character to make a personal impact on many different audience members.

What is your weirdest talent?
I am quite double-jointed.
